Regulatory update – United Kingdom
Starting 25 March 2025, Companies House will introduce a new identity verification process for anyone setting up, running, or controlling a company in the UK.

This will help prevent misuse of companies for illegal purposes.
Key changes include:
✅ Voluntary identity verification starting March 2025
✅ Compulsory verification in the future for directors, PSCs, and others acting on behalf of the company*.
✅ Option to verify directly with Companies House or through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)
Non-compliance will result in penalties.
